As I am going to do the RNA-Seq of SAM tissues in Brassica napus accessions. I want to know whether mRNA of SAM is responsible for the no. of slique in Brassica napus or some thing else. Thanks!
If the slique variation is heritable among the accesion, then it is genetically controlled trait and you should go for RNA-seq analysis. I recomend you the RNA-seq analysis of floral meristem after transition to reproductive stage not vegetative SAM. At vegerative stage you may not identified all associated genes.
Our hypothesis/thinking is RNA expression level is at peak in the developing tissue. As in our case, we are taking the floral meristem or very young florets, before developing the stamens and stigma inside. But the main thing that I couldnt find the reference to support our idea.
