Specifications:

  • Grid Voltage 415 V(L-L)
  • Operating Frequency- 50 KHz
  • DC Bus- 600V to 1000V
  • pf=1
  • For Three phase grid connected inverter, and minimum DC bus voltage of 600V (from PV panel), modulation index is coming to be 1.12( L-L grid voltage is 415 V). However by injecting third harmonic, modulation index is coming around 0.98 (theoretical).

    So my questions are:

    • Is this value of m justifiable for switching frequency of 50 KHz? If yes why? if no why not?
    • Should I go to SVPWM for over-modulation techniques (because in reality m can go beyond 1)?

    • What other options I can try out?
    • I would really appreciate If anyone can suggest me some publication with similar problem .
