I think you proposition is very common in coutries with large scale production and developped agriculture.
In small coutries, we only finding basic agriculture with limited production.
But, i think as ecologist or agro ecologist we must following this large-scale possibility?
For example, in Algeria we using a limited area without any network between production and agro systems!!!

The answer is absolutely yes. In China, there are some similar large-scale agroecological farm where they utilize the agroecological system to obtain the agri-product provide by them. For instance, the manure of livestock is employed to convert to organic fertilizer, and then some kind of insect and sticky fly board or other equipment have been used to protect the vegetable. This aims to provide organic and healthy vegetable for human beings.
However, it takes long time to achieve this objective.
