It is really hard to diagnose a disease based on photos only, maybe we ca untangle that if you can provide more information. I don't see the usual small brown flecks or bronze tinge
Have you tried inoculating host species? If so what symptoms you observed? What about fruits, stems or roots, do they have any symptoms?
What tests have you run so far? Have you excluded a fungal or bacterial etiology?
I have some suspects that it might be TSWV since the spots look alike. However, I would like to ask you if you could provide some picture of the fruits/flowers if available.
Furthermore, did you have a control? Which symptoms were shown?
If this experiment was in a field I would suggest you to look at the presence of thrips.
If you might have other cv I would suggest you to look at them and compare.
If you might have some resistant cv I would suggest you to compare with this sample.
I would suggest you to provide some reference material you might have, since without is easily confused with other symptoms.
Valentina Ivanova & Francesco Desiderio Thank you for your opinions, it was a matter of choice for diagnostic tests. We will get PCR results in 2-3 days, I am not sure how many other viruses we must check in this particular case ( we usually do up to 7).
I would recommend you to use ELISA quick and dirty kit if available, they might get you the same results and are much cheaper, depending of course on the case and on the purpose of the experiment.
