I have Leber's congenital amaurosis, type 5. Under the influence of marijuana, when light enters my eyes, I feel what I can only describe as a charge. It's a buildup of energy that an then be released, like if you were to ride a bike up a hill and then coast downwards. I've previously believed that this subjective sensation had to do with the extraocular muslces, but maybe they are related somehow to the magnicellular properties of the retina?
