Soil erosion leads to topographic changes, which can be detected through remote sensing techniques, such as laser scanning. However, the extensive cost of laser scanning constrains its application over large scales. The SAR and InSAR technique is able to monitor large-scale land surface deformation. So, I am wondering if it is possible to use these techniques in soil erosion monitoring ? If possible, how to use them for erosion monitoring ?

Thanks !
