Why not you can use PBr2 instead of PbI2 then you can get MAPbBr3 crystals, which is also a solar cell material.

It should be only PbBr2 and PbBr will be highly unstable also it cannot yield the MAPbBr3 crystals.

@Dharmadoss Sornadurai, Thank you for your response. The intention is so that to have Iodine provid d from FAI(Formamidinium Iodide), but most publications get Iodine from PbI2.
