I am asking about the possibility of separation of an analyte like pseudophedrine and its salt pseudophedrine hydrochloride using HPLC simultaneously i.e using the same method?
If it is not possible, any suggestions for determination of the two compounds in one sample?.

pseudoephedrine and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride can be coeluted both as pseudoephedrine when when you use a C18 column at any pH value (compatible with your column). The salt is rapidly dissolved in water as the two separate components (pseudoephedrine and chloridric acid). You can try to separate them using an ion exchange column and amperometric detection under pH
Dear Reza, we are talking about separation not simple determination.
To perform the separation you need a chromatographic method. In this case a cationic column should be used together with an amperometric detector and a pH gradient.

By selecting proper buffer pH, it is possible to separate ionisable compounds by reverse phase liquid chromatography. Since your compound has amine functionality any buffer effective at pH 7 should work satisfactorily.
What would be the reason to separate the salt from the parent compound using chromatography?
I agree with Sabino . Ionized solutes show weak retention in a reverse-phase LC system. They interact more with the polar mobile phase than the non-polar stationary phase. Wajid suggest s use of ion suppression with reverse phase LC. If you suppress ionization of the pseudophedrine hydrochloride you will end up with pseudophedrine. Thus no separation.
