Hi,

I am new to DTI analysis and I would like to have some elucidations about pre-processing steps. I’ve understood that one of the first steps is the distortions correction that can be implemented in FSL by TOPUP, but it requires two opposite phase-encoding directions, while I have just one in my data. I have found some answers to this problem, but I still have doubts, due to my limited experience. So, what is the best strategy to implement, as an alternative to TOPUP, in the case of one single phase-encoding direction? I am also willing to use other software than FSL. I have found that possible alternatives are ExploreDTI (that I would prefer since it leans on Matlab that I know better) or BrainSuite, but it is not clear for me how they would overcome my problem. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thank you for your help
