As we know many journals are posting preprints (DOI) in advance before the peer-review process. However, there is no guarantee that the preprints get published. The journal's reviewers undergo the peer review processes as usual and may be rejected, but the preprint is still available online. If the author wants to submit the manuscript to another journal, the journal will not consider a manuscript that has been posted as preprint prior to submission. And the other issue of the preprint is sensitivity to plagiarism. Therefore, how we can remove the preprint posted by the former journal permanently before submitting it to another journal?
