Is it possible to perform hydraulic extrusion of the spinal cord in adult mice after perfusion?

I need to collect spinal cords relatively quickly for my next experiment, and I was wondering if it’s possible to use the hydraulic extrusion method after perfusion. I know this method works with fresh tissue, but I’m concerned that fixation might make the tissue too stiff to remove as easily. Has anyone tried this approach before?
