For Water- Ammonia some papers are presented that doesn't match with default EOSs presented in Aspen and Hysys. I want to exactly implement the paper in the softwares.
You might generate a large dataset of physical results using the literature model, say using Excel. Then calculate the same results in Excel using the Aspen model of interest using as model parameters a group of cells in Excel. You could either code the Aspen model directly into Excel or call Aspen from Excel with the parameters. Then use the Excel solver to minimize the sum of the square of the differences between the dataset calculated from the literature model and the dataset calculated using the Aspen model. If your datasets include different types of physical results you may have to use weighted averages to get the desired accuracy. It would be a lot of work, but can be done.
Prof. Lloyd suggested an innovative solution. But there is another way to go around this problem. Get familiar with Aspen Extension and Automation solutions. It is totally possible to modify or even implement your own EoS in Aspen or Hysys. Of course, if you are not familiar with C++ programing avanced concepts, then the only viable solution is the one proposed by Prof. Lloyd.
Agreed with BABAK , Aspen Hysys is not producing great results but while you use Lee-Kesler-Plocker property package, properties will be near to Promax.
You can force Hysys to do anything you want by curve fitting the desired properties and a Hysys spreadsheet to use the curve fit results to calculate the correct answer and impose that answer on the streams you are concerned about. But that could be a lot of work depending on the nature and the size of the error you are trying to fix.
You might also consider trying each of the EOS available in Hysys to see if any of them are acceptable - or at least better than the others. You can use a different EOS for 1 or more operations in Hysys and not the rest of yr simulation if you desire but you need a "cutter" model to change the EOS for a particular stream before you can mix it with a stream using a different fluid package,
