Is it possible to model aerosols in an absorber column in aspen? If so, how can it be done
My purpose is to model the interaction of sulphuric acid aerosols present in flue gas with a solvent (to extract CO2) and other gases present in the flue gas.
If you know the particle size distribution of the aerosols and their concentration, Aspen has tools to track them in the system. However, predicting the particle size distribution or the amount of aerosol is well beyond the scope of Aspen and will require some far more sophisticated model, as indicated by Farid.
