Is it possible to measure the magnetic second harmonic generation of an exchange-biased bilayer with a continuous-wave laser?

Hi all,

I was wondering if it is possible to measure MSHG (or sometimes called SHG-MOKE) without a pulsed laser, but using a cw diode or gas laser and a crystal to filter the second harmonic (and probably a photomultiplier, too)?

It think at least the electric field strength of laser must be around 1GV/cm (~atomic field strength)
