It is well known that nanoindentation technique is used for measuring hardness and Modulus (elastic modulus). I am curious, does any modification of this equipment/method that able to measure Shear modulus? Measuring poisson's ratio also may help as far there is direct relationship between Shear modulus, Young’s modulus and poisson's ratio: E=2G(1+v)
I am not sure about the shear modulus, but I am quite sure that rigorously, what you can measure with a nanoindenter is the reduced modulus Er, which depends on Young's modulus and Poisson ratio (Er=E/(1-v²)).

The scratch test used in nanoindentation is for determination of fraction energy not shear modulus.
Yes, it is possible. We know the relationship between elastic constants. By knowing the elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio, we can estimate the shear modulus. Coupled finite element and experimental analysis gives the accurate measurement of shear modulus.
