Most postdoctoral openings usually state that applicant's doctoral degree should not have exceeded 5 years before application. I need a possible list of University/Establishment that could admit candidates with more than 5 years doctoral qualification for postdoc study/training. Thank you.
I am writing from a US perspective. Most of the postdoctoral fellowships I am familiar with in the US specify that the applicant cannot have completed a PhD with a longer time horizon than 7 years. This is the time they would have been eligible for tenure had they accepted a tenure-track position. For instance, The National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Fellowship program has a 7-year limit on the time since the PhD was awarded before the applicant can no longer be considered eligible.
Hello. In Iran, the gap between the completion of the doctoral course and the postdoctoral course should not be more than 2 years.
