I'm trying to fabricate a QDLED using CdSe/Zns emission layer. I'm not able to form a good enough film of QD using spin coating or dip coating.
If electrophoretic deposition can be used, what are the parameters that I need to consider. Is Zeta potential a very critical parameter that I should consider?
Why don't we focus first on your surfactant.....You can bind the QDs to the ITO via several methods. You can conjugate a polymer, use thiol groups, or "nano-glue." Zeta potential is a good thing to measure to give you information about the surface charges, BUT...can be engineered for your application.
So I treat the substrate with some alkanethiol and then try to deposit the nanocrystal?
I'm not sure if thats possible as the nanocrystals are already capped with long chain oleate ligand. I have used thiols to couple metal nanoparticles to glass substrates which works, but I do not know about CdSe/Zns nanocrystals.
About polymer, will PEDOT:PSS be a better substrate to deposit nanocrystals?
