Dear I have a multibeam file in all format type. I need to extract an image of the bathymetry from this. There is anyone that know a software tool useful for this?
Yes but I do not have any software to do this. My data came from MULTIbeam eco sounder EMC 2040C by konberg.
Commercial (and expensive) software such as CARIS HIPS or QPS Qimera (to name a few) do wonders and this is the way to go if you professionally process multibeam datasets . Nevertheless there are still some free good options for academics and enthusiasts . In short:
For a quick and easy process and visualization , try IFREMER GLOBE
For a real and deep processing (command line included) get MBSYSTEM
For a real coder, try custom Python or Matlab scripts ( look into Github ) .
