This is about Intellectual property rights awareness campaigns at universities by different organisations i.e National Intellectual Property Management Office (NIMPO) and The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC).
Dear Mrs Mawokomayi, a first remark is who is the target of these workshops: the TTO employees or the students? Secondly, what is the final target and what is the cause of these workshops? Filing more IPRs or being able to judge about the importance of IPRs in an academic environment? The use of IPR databases before filing an IPR is another important issue....It is difficult to measure on a short term because it is a long learning process with so many different strategies which are difficult to evaluate.
I would say that Nico Deconinck point of defining "the final target" is extremely important not just in terms of the intended purpose but as a metric for your study. If you do not know the length of the campaign how are you going to evaluate the overall performance?
