Silver being FCC metals forms annealing twins in wrought materials. These twins are hinder the grain size analysis. What options are possible to obtain grain size of pure silver without etching twins.
While analysing the grain size, you have to include these twin also.
I don't know if you can add colorant(s) to separate each type of grains. Or try to let grains take a different color under the microscop.
Then you can use the softwaer ImageJ for calculating grains size.
Why not excluding the twin boundaries in counting the grain boundary size using the intercept method?
