Papaya mosaic virus belongs to the family flaxiviridi of potyxvirus.

Sure, it is possible to transmit Papaya mosaic virus mechanically.

About maintaining the infected seedling, if you keep the temperature less than 70C, which is normally less that that in the greenhouses, your virus is fine.
