I am doing clear-native PAGE and need to do a TCA precipitation to be able to detect my protein of interest (hopefully present in a complex) with the corresponding antibody. I tried to incubate the gel in TCA or TCA/SDS for different periods, but it did not work out.

Would it be promising to incubate the membrane after blotting in TCA to precipitate the protein?

Which type of membrane would you suggest? Nitrocellulose, PVDF,...?

I would be very greatful to hear some suggestions!
