Hogla local name for a bush-like small plant, Typha elephantiana of family Typhaceae. The plant produces huge quantity of pollens. These grasses have fibrous root systems. The plant could meet the challenge for producing textile fibre from any kind of spinning process.
Not as far as I know from the past. I only know of evidence from early medieval times where loose Typha-fibres were used as upholstery material (cf. H.J. Hundt, Die Textilreste aus dem Reihengräberfeld von Niedernberg, in: Chr. Peschek, Das fränkische Reihengräberfeld Niedernberg am Main, Aschaffenburger Jahrbuch 8, 1984, 123-144, especially p.125). Typha-fibres are said not be strong enough for spinning, but maybe they can be mixed into a thread?
Yes, it could be possible. You have to use long staple fiber spinning method, such as jute fiber spinning method.
