I have prepared few types of MIP adsorbents (MIP_1, MIP_2, NIP_1 & NIP_2) where MIP_1 & MIP_2 are the imprinted adsorbents while NIP_1 & NIP_2 are the non-imprinted adsorbents for the target antibiotic (chloramphenicol). I have conducted single-component adsorption but using different types of adsorbent. Thus can I determine the parameters related to the adsorption selectivity by changing the parameter in equation (2) from kd of competing species to kd of type of adsorbent since I have conducted only single-component adsorption experiment:

As I understand it, you have conducted your experiments using single-component solutions and various types of adsorbents, but I think that the adsorbent can be selective or non-selective for a particular adsorbate only in a multi-component system (with at least 2 components in it). Therefore, in your case, you should compare adsorbents using constants from the Langmuir, Freundlich, Redlich-Peterson, Dubinin-Radzkiewicz or other equations. You must determine which model suits you best depending on the values of the determination coefficients for the corresponding sorption isotherms. For example, if you selected the Langmuir model (if R >0.9), you can determine the values of the maximum adsorption capacity (const) and distribution coefficents for each adsorbent under study. Based on the obtained values you compare adsorbents with each other. If I'm wrong, the experts can correct me.
I would say you can use such equations by considering the adsorbate and adsorbents the other way around. I mean, imagine that the single adsorbate adsorbs the adsorbents.
I think it may not be proper. The adsorption affinities of chloramphenicol to MIP_1 and MIP_2 might be quite different (e.g. MIP_1> MIP_2). In the chloramphenicol - NIP_1 - NIP_2 system, due to the competition, and the limited chloramphenicol in soution before adsorption, more chloramphenicol will been adsorbed to MIP_1, but still smaller than that in chloramphenicol - NIP_1 system. I am not sure that if can help you.
