I am currently attempting to culture Bifidobacterium from a freeze-dried starter culture, but I do not have access to BSM broth. However, I do have Cysteine HCl as a reducing agent, Inulin as a carbon source, and peptone (if necessary). Are there any non-selective liquid growth media known for supporting growth of this genus? If so, some recommendations of particular broths would be very helpful.

Any other tips regarding the cultivation of Bifidobacterium would also be appreciated.
