I am planning to create an OpenStack cloud in VMware which should enable me to run ns2 simulations in all the actively running images in the virtual machines. What are the things that I should keep in mind for doing this? Thanks.
One should keep in mind that running the different images should maintain consistency and integrity. Further, it is often needed to run the simulations again and again by creating different trace files. The scripts to obtain the useful parameter from the trace file depends on the researcher and his/her needs. However, one may provide a facility for running the same simulation in terms of images over the cloud and generate trace files with different seeds so that on may extract the information according to one's own need and then take the average over all those trace files generated by different images.
yes @Ash Abbas , that's exactly what i am planning to do . But i wanted to know whether ,and how, can this be achieved using OpenStack.
Yes, it's an easy way to do, but needs a good referenced guide as told by Ash Abbas. Anyway, be a nice research.
