I had a profile on my last position in IOCB Prague, but after changing a job and also matrimonial status (from Radka Břízová to Radka Nagy). I would like to share all my research data under one profile.
Yes, it is possible. If by coincidence, a researcher duplicates his/her account unintentionally, the profiles could be merged into one in ResearchGate. Suffice it to say that merging of profiles allows a researcher to transfer his/her publications from his/her duplicate account to the preferred account(currently accessible account) that he/she wants to keep. However, it is pertinent to note that merging of profiles prohibits the transfer of followers, followings, profile views and questions. Once the merging is completed, the duplicate account will be deleted and this procedure is irreversible. Hence, utmost caution must be observe before deleting a profile. Below are the under-listed step -by-step procedures in merging profiles:
· Enter the account you want to keep;
· View the profile of the duplicate account;
· View the duplicate profile's experience tab and choose the report profile button;
· A window shall pop-up. Then select report duplicate; and
· Type the email addresses used for both accounts and select save.
Once the above procedures are religiously followed, the application to merge two accounts shall be reviewed and a confirmation email sent to the applicant as soon as the task is completed.
But that does not serve the problem, because I do not have an access to my old email address on the profile I would keep. So maybe, I have another question: It is possible to get to my old profile, if I do not have access to my old email address?
