Yes it is very much possible as mobile technologies are playing a vital role in higher education and with devices such as smartphones and tablets access among students, for required knowledge sharing and interactions are heightened nowadays.
I think it is possible. There are researchers that won research grants and such mobile devices can be procured for the research subjects through the grants. The problem however is the implementation of the findings after the research since those devices may not be available to the students thereafter in real teaching and learning settings.
