I am looking for a viable carbon capture system that would enable us to capture carbon form the atmosphere and eventually convert it into useful energy.
As an industrial approach, some of the recent studies suggests that the cost per ton CO2 captured from the atmosphere ranges from $ 94 to 232.

Trees do it. They capture CO2 using solar energy which they turn into wood which can be burnt to produce power.
But if you capture carbon dioxide from the burning of wood or straight from the air, it takes more energy to convert it into carbon than you get from burning the carbon, see Second Law of Thermodynamics.
