i want to calculate the efficiency of the photovoltaic panel .can I calculate the efficiency in diffrent times with radiation intensity, Voc ,Isc and constant FF?
You have to take in your considerations many factors such as; the temperature of the panels, wind direction, humidity and dust over the pv panels, losses in DC cables. Otherwise, the efficiency calculations vary far away from actual values.
Sultan Mohammad Alrowwad I have a panel and i have some sensore for diffrent parametre such as the temperature of the panel, humidity and radiation intensity .I want to have the efficiency of panel When the temperature of panel changing and i can measure the Voc and Isc of pv. i want to know how can i calculate the Output power in real time?
Yes, it seems to be using voltmeter and amper meter , by creating variable load and extracting the I-V graph can find Output power .thanks for your answer
If you know all the parameters that you mention, in principle I do not see why you should not be able to estimate the efficiency. This is a good reference (page 105): https://courses.edx.org/c4x/DelftX/ET.3034TU/asset/solar_energy_v1.1.pdf
Yes, it is possible to determine the efficiency of the solar panel when parameters such as Isc (short circuit current), Voc (open circuit voltage), Vm (Voltage at maximum power point) and Im (Current at maximum power point) are known through measurement. The Vm and I m can be obtained from the I-V curve of solar panel. You can check my profile on the article: PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF MONO-CRYSTALLINE PHOTOVOLTAIC PANELS IN FUNAAB, ALABATA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA WEATHER CONDITION. It can be of help.
