I am doing a meta-analysis on the impact of humans on fragmenting freshwater ecosystems. I have collected locus-level data above and below dams to assess how expected heterozygosity (He), observed heterozygosity (Ho) and number of alleles (nAl) are reduced above dams. I don't have a genotype matrix to permute, but want to correct nAl for sample size. Can I just include sample size as a factor in the model to account for natural increase in nAl with sample size?

Please see example data, attached

Thanks!

Liam
