Well in my opinion, there is no need to apply quantum mechanics to sociology. Quantum mechanics is physics which incorporates elements of statistics (e.g. probabilities, averages, prob. distributions, Gaussian functions etc.) to explain the stochatic nature of subatomic particles that exhibit wave -like and particle like behavior. Aspects of sociology may vary in a random and unpredictable sense and can show various "states" of being. However, sociology does not show wave-like trends or mathematical descriptions in vector spaces as in QM nor does it adhere to laws such as the uncertainty principle et. al the Pauli exclusion principle. Therefore, in reference to aspects that can be quantized in sociology, traditional statistics will suffice. Lastly, a philosophical view of sociology which incoporates the notions of quantum mechanics are correct on a figurative basis, but cannot literally or directly be applied.
I agree with you 100% about the philosophies of sociology and quantum mechanics having the ability to coalesce. Your point is well taken, I just wanted to clarify the literal use of quantum mechanics in sociology although it is indeed implicit that the two are incompatible. As I stated in the conclusion of my comment, philosophical Notions in sociology that incorporate Notions from quantum mechanics are indeed correct in support of what you have stated.
What attracts you are the most unfounded and folkloric aspects of the quantic physics (by a sect who became hegemonic by the well-targeted killings of the two competitors, ninety years ago). The only aspects that are popularized.
