My sample is extruded LDPE film (thickness 0.6 - 0.7 micron). From test, an average of tensile strength was about 12-14 N/mm^2 (test was conducted 2 weeks after getting sample). However, I did the re-test again after 6 months later, the result was only 1-2 N/mm^2. Is it possible ?
By the way, the condition that I keep sample maybe not professional enough. The folded film was kept in LDPE-zip bag, and bag was open-reclose-reopen many time along 6 months. Sometime, people didn't close the bag properly. However, this sample was almost kept in drawer (try to avoid light effect), but sometimes it was not in the drawer.
From above condition, is it possible to reduce the tensile strength of this LDPE film ?
Thank you in advance for all of answer.
