I am about to present a paper partly related to Rhizobacteria. I come across an article which says "due to the complex nature how genes work and due to the multiple genes involved in stress tolerance traits, at the advent of climate change PGPR inoculation proves to be even better biotechnology than genetic engineering for climate change adaptation". So shall I cite this article?
I think to stat this you need have either a solid comparison experiment or stat why you think it is better and in what aspects. It's a great point but need to handled carefully in the papery
That is, the article says due to the complexity of genes and stress tolerant traits, genetic enginerring will be too slow to cope with the fast rate climate change. but PGPR is easy and fast enough to cope with the fast rate of climate change. Btw, is there any drought tolerant GE crop availed for production until now?
I think there I read something about GM Barely developed in Finland that drought tolerate. I will check the article for you
A number of PGPR have been reported to help plants tolerate /alleviate drought stress. Please refer the book chapter by Selvakumar et al. (2013) for a compilation of rhizobacetrial mediated alleviation of abiotic stress in plants
