I recently come across the bioclogging process and formation of biofilms which reversely affect the permeability of the porous medium. Bulk transport is a important parameter in multiphase flows and obviously it will be affect by formation of biofilm in the porous media.

So, I wanted to boost up a discussion upon what has been done in this field and what opportunities it opens in pharmaceutical, petrochemical, soil erosion etc fields?
