Based on the reviews I read, most polymers got close value for optical and electrochemical band gap.
I tried to calculate these band gap from UV-vis spectra and cyclic voltammetry.
But the band gaps I obtained for both optical and electrochemical are hugely different.
Anythings gone wrong or its just a rare case?

Are you doing the electrochemistry in a fairly non-polar organic solvent?
It's a bit of a simplification but the difference between the optical and electrochemical bandgaps is the the solvation energy difference of the -1 and +1 species compared with the 0. In most cases that energy difference is much smaller than the energy of the bandgap but it is larger for a small, uncharged molecule in non-polar solvent.
