I've previously conducted a shearing test against a limestone rock sample using a drilling machine in experiment 1. To increase the roughness and asperity contact, quartz particles were attached to the drill bit for abrasion with the rock as in experiment 2. Results obtained include the strain H and strain V values against time for various confining pressures of 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0MPa for the respective experiments.

Relating to Poisson's, I can obtain Poisson's ratio by plotting strain H/V against time. However, I am not too sure how to go about analyzing the graph obtained. Would it be more preferable to plot the respective experiment under different loadings or to plot the respective loading graph in each experiment?

Would it be correct to analyze that the Poisson's ratio is expected to decrease over time and what would be the justification for this phenomenon? If possible, could you provide some sources for me to study to get an accurate explanation?
