I have been asked by IntechOpen to write the chapter for a book they are going to publish, but
as I don't have enough experience in the area they proposed me to write I declined their offer.
Now they told they will never write me again. I feel not good.
There is no shame to decline to write a chapter (for anyone) if you do not feel confident in doing it. It is your decision and you should not be pressured to accept it. I have to admit I never heard about IntechOpen and do not know it (I have not extensive experience neither), but I just found this (if it can be of any help for you): https://www.researchgate.net/post/What_is_InTech_Open_Science_A_predatory_or_a_ligitimate_publisher.
Well done!! I think you are being very sensible by not producing a book chapter if you do not feel adequately qualified to do so. I am fed up seeing so many people self claiming expertise based upon one paper etc. Do not worry, when you are ready there will be many opportunities to publish your work, never be bullied .

There is no reason to feel bad at all. InTech approach hundreds if not thousands of people. You are asked to contribute, either with a chapter or even an entire book. You then pay them to publish it.
I do not think you have missed out on anything by not taking this opportunity, nor if you are never contacted by them again.
