Is it ok to culture a cancer cell line (HepG2) using the following expired reagents?

1. Sodium pyruvate (expired by 2 months)

2. MEM Amino acids (expired by 4 months)

3. MEM Non-essential amino acids

4. HEPES

5. Glutamax

All items were stored at 4 degrees, except Glutamax which was stored at room temperature.

Sharon: I'd used all "expired" reagents except glutamax as it may be degraded in room temp. Also, HepG2 is easy to grow and is not picky on nutrients- as it can also secrete a large amounts of plasma proteins. Good luck.
