I used hierarchical regression analysis of my data set for my master's thesis, but some values were quite low when compared to the results of other studies. Especially the r squared and f values. I also found that most of my results were not significant. I could not understand whether this is normal or not. Is there a problem with my dataset and have I done the analysis wrong or are these results normal and reportable?
Dear @Ebrar If your domain of research is well studied and enough empirical evidences are available, from different contexts, to compare with the results of your study and found significantly different from your results then there might be something wrong with your data either due to data collection techniques or response biases from the respondents.
I suggest that an important cause maybe the data set you have is insufficiently powerful for the analysis you are trying to do.
Normality or abnormality of these results rooted back the subject of your research.
