I've noticed that in most papers symbionts from corals are Water-Pik with seawater. Can de-ionised water be used instead for frozen corals?
coral lives only the seawater in tropical clear water with sunlight. so de-ionised water cannot use instead of seawater

According to Johannes & Wiebe (1970), de-ionise water may cytolyse the cell. Therefore, it is better to use seawater.
