Luiz - generally it is not necessary. Undergraduate (Honours) projects, as an introduction to research, should be encouraged to be as 'manageable' and uncomplicated as possible. Such projects should not incur costs. If they do, it is best to keep to a minimum i.e. survey software cost, travel to interviews etc - which the student may be able to fund themselves - or avoid.
I think - in general it is a good token to show that there is some reward because it will also confirm that it is normal that research can take a lot of time and effort, which then is compensated in certain way.
