Electronics seems to be one of the critical fields of the 21st century with more and more electronic gadgets being developed and existing ones evolving every time. I am wondering whether African curricula should include it more at both primary and secondary level.
I believe that every high school graduate needs to know the basics of electronics, especially in countries where the industry has significant shares in the economy. Also, many machines in other fields, such as agriculture, construction and water management (I gave just a few examples) use electronic devices. Knowledge of electronics is generally useful for young people in agricultural and industrialized countries.
In my opinion, kids should be start learning how to use some electronic devices like computers and tablets and one of the best ways through which they can start leaning is primary school.

Since the world is bound to focus on e-learning, remote learning and blended learning with traditional teaching because of Corona pandemic, it is necessary to introduce ELECTRONICS as a practical subject in the curriculum for secondary education.
Children of primary level should know the proper use of the common devices not to misuse them.

Electronic is a practical aspect that should be included in the secondary school curriculum and not primary school but the challenge with innovations like this is the personel/human resource that should handle it. If electronics would be included into the curriculum, It should be taught as a practical subject and not handle as a normal subject. It should be full of hands-on/practicals. This suggest that only human resources who might not have attended the formal school education would be knowledgeable to handle it however, this individuals would also require little formal training for them to be able to give adequate instruction as instructors.
It is very necessary, unfortunately the curriculum has not been upgraded to the level of current demand of the use of electronic gadgets. It will be interesting to find out the challenges of teaching and learning of electronics.
