Certainly! It is well known that ones web search skills determine what one is able to take from the electronic research data. It follows that inadequate skills will mean limited utility of web or electronic based information. It is highly essential that the knowledge and practice in accessing electronic research based evidence among medical teachers is accessed. This will lead to development of necessary remedial measure to improve identified areas of need.
Like any other skill, this is also necessary. It is important to plan a study to assess the level of knowledge and practice in accessing electronic research-based evidence among medical teachers. In present scenario,it is very much required for researchers (medical teachers), in this way we can now do the training need assessment, and later on training can be planned filling the gaps.
It doesn't help though, that much of the best evidenced based practice is hidden behind paywalls. If the physicians and nurses teaching in their fields in developing countries can't access the EBP, it's hard for them to embrace it and teach it.
