I'm using CR2032 coins cells
My anode was fabricated via advance infusion method with a diameter of 13 mm. How much diameter should I consider when punching a cathode (LFP) slurry?
I wonder if it should be smaller or larger than the Li metal anode.
Also, I would like to know that if the calculated areal capacity value of anode should be higher than cathode LFP
Help me.

In order to maximize the available capacity from the cathode, the anode is usually prepared to be slightly larger than the cathode because only the ‘‘covered’’ area of the anode will participate in the electrochemical reaction, for more details, there is an interesting paper which is based on the results reproducibility in graphite-based Li-ion full coin cells. Normally yes, we would cut the anode in a way that oversized the cathode to get easier electrode alignment during cell assembly. Worth noting that improper electrode alignment would lead to a short circuit if it gets connected.
