I want to do research in theoretical physics , so how much is the importance of good college or university( as compare to to imagination , creativity & Knowledge )

Any university with acceptable level will do. (As far as actual learning goes) Lab work is important always, good universities have it.
Being a good student, and eventually becoming a good researcher are actually separate things. For research
persistance and creativity are important. You usually only get into research at a later state in studies (Master or beyond)
Very important to learn all the basics. You usually need several years of research to become good at it, it is not
immediate.
The university only really matters in Grad school. Even then, good is what works for you. If you don't click with your adviser, it will be more difficult to develop the skills necessary for your work. Research the schools and your potential advisers. Make sure there are at least a couple people at each school that you could see yourself working with.
It is very important to choose good university to build a good foundation
