hi please help me.

I don’t know if INDEPENDENT T TEST is the right statistical treatment to use in our research. (Using Jamovi)

we have a QUASI-EXPERIMENTAL study, we aim to know if there is a (significant) effect between students who drink Coffee and their memory retention and to compare the memory retention of the student who does not drink coffee.

procedure:

We have a total number of 100 participants, we group them into two. Group A (non-coffee drinker) and Group B (Coffee drinker)

both group will be given a MMQ-Ability survey form (Multi factorial Memory questionnaire) to assess if the memory ability of those who drink coffee and those who don’t. MMQ is a likert scale from 0-4 (0-Never, 4 Always)

question is, when using Jamovi app, is it correct if I will use Independent t test to interpret our data? Or other statistical treatment should be used that is under quasi-experimental research?
