I believe the key issue is the integration of the quantitative and qualitative results, so if you can link the descriptive findings from the quantitative methods to the relevant findings from the qualitative methods, that is what really matters.
I will add that the research question(s) and planned statistical analysis drive what kind of quantitative results you present. If you planned a descriptive study for the quantitative research as opposed to more complex designs, then that is what you do.
