Please tell me why cells with a black nucleus can appear in the parenchyma of the liver and kidney of zebrafish? Is this an artifact of processing? They were found in fish of the control group and in treated fish. It is embarrassing that they sometimes accumulate in limited small areas, and sometimes evenly distributed throughout the parenchyma. For fixation, a Bouin's solution was used.

I believe they are not pyknotic nuclei, as they are seen in some area that there are no cells (kidney slides). Moreover, pyknotic nuclei are normally condensed and smaller than the normal nuclei, but this is not the case in these slides
