Is it a necessary condition that lower optical band gap of polyaniline should have higher electrical conductivity?
You can correlate the conductivity of metals, semiconductors and insulators with the band gap. As the band gap decreases, electrical conductivity increases. Similar is the case here. I don't know if this what you wanted.
I agree with Ravi Kissor. In general, lower the bandgap higher the electrical conductivity.
